The workshop, led by the Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Kansas, will situate the Kansas City region in the context of the Japanese American economic relationship. As an attendee, you will also gain a better understanding of Japanese cultural norms related to respect, hierarchy, and hospitality and start acquiring a cultural toolkit that will help you navigate social interactions and develop meaningful and respectful relationships.
